Outdoor Coverings Reimagined Bare Span

Geometry replaces mass. Every unnecessary member removed. What remains is structure reduced to its most honest form — and a lot more sky.

See the Difference

Conventional shade structures use twice the steel they need.

Walk under any restaurant patio, hotel poolside, or backyard pergola. Look up. You'll see a dense grid of welded steel — member after member, junction after junction. It blocks the view it was built to frame. The structure becomes the obstruction.

Smart geometry does what brute steel cannot.

A Warren truss carries the same load as a dense grid — with 40% fewer members. Tension cables replace compression bars. Every connection point is a decision. We made fewer, better ones.

Three rules. No exceptions.

Every Member Earns Its Place

If a bar doesn't carry load, it's gone. No decorative filler. No "just in case." Structure is not ornament.

Triangles Over Grids

Triangulation converts bending into pure tension and compression. The geometry does the work so the steel doesn't have to.

Tension Before Mass

A cable in tension is stronger pound-for-pound than a tube in compression. We use tension wherever physics allows.

The same span. Half the frame.

What changes. What doesn't.

Conventional Frame
  • Dense welded grid pattern
  • Redundant cross-bracing
  • 40+ weld points per bay
  • Heavy visual footprint
  • Higher fabrication cost
  • More steel = more rust surface
Bare Span
  • Warren truss geometry
  • Every member load-bearing
  • ~20 weld points per bay
  • Open, clean sightlines
  • Lower material + labor
  • Less steel = less maintenance

Where less frame means more.

Restaurant Patios

Guests came for the sunset, not the ceiling grid. Open the view without losing the shade.

Residential Outdoor Living

Backyard pergolas and pool covers that feel like architecture, not industrial scaffolding.

Hospitality & Resorts

Poolside cabanas, rooftop bars, event spaces. Premium spaces deserve premium structure.

Commercial Entries

Walkway covers, loading canopies, outdoor retail. Clean lines at commercial scale.

"The best structure is the one you don't notice — because it's doing its job with nothing to spare."
