Starting from John’s request to review MEMORY.md and publish it to the PQB site, this session evolved into building a full self-documenting reference section for Phaedrus.

Layouts Created
Two reusable Hugo layouts that any future /phaedrus/ page can use:
phaedrus-index.html— Card-based index page (same pattern as SDCFO index)phaedrus-report.html— Long-form report with sticky TOC sidebar (same pattern as SDCFO reports)phaedrus-log.html— Google Sheets-style layout with todo cards and categorized table
All three use the SDCFO design system: navy/teal palette, DM Sans + Manrope + Roboto Mono typography, IFM-style green header bands.
MEMORY.md Analysis
The core work that started this session — reorganizing MEMORY.md from a flat dump into clear categories:
Original Structure (6 sections)
- Safety & Privacy Rules
- Hard Rules (Lessons Learned) — 15+ rules of mixed types
- Preferences
- Infrastructure
- Slack Channel Behaviors
- Active Threads
Reorganized Structure (7 sections)
- Safety & Privacy — family files, writing context, PQB firewall (moved from Infrastructure)
- Operational Guardrails — system/config rules, behavior rules, content/publishing rules
- Communication Protocol — delivery, progress pings, typing indicator
- People & Access — Jeff/nephew, Cruz Flores, allowlist rules
- Preferences & Workflow — Obsidian-first, file routing, model notes
- Infrastructure — wiki, PQB, charting tool, Forecastr
- Active Threads — split into Business, Writing, Technical/Blocked
Key Suggestions
- Date-stamp every rule (most lack dates)
- Graduate tool config to TOOLS.md (Fable 5, secrets.json, docx workaround)
- Trim typing indicator entry (1 line of rule, 20 lines of debug)
- Add freshness dates to Active Threads
- PQB firewall belongs in Safety, not Infrastructure

Built from a subagent that read all 56 daily notes chronologically and extracted 65 significant entries. Categorized into 9 bands:

- Consider making the System Log auto-updating (write new entries from daily notes)
- Skill health audit — periodic check of which skills are stale
