Subtle Choice
A poem about choice in the Garden of Eden.
Assume Garden of Eden How would you behave? Would you be the foolish one? Or would you be the knave?
Would you fight for all our innocence? Or fight for knowledge true To speak The Word like gods Or bathe in morning dew.
Who will decide for all? The One! Yes! The Decider Would she say what’s right and wrong? And who would sit beside her?
I’d rather let each one decide A much more subtle choice To succumb to death and homicide Or learn to use your voice.
